VMware Certified Design Experts have achieved the VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) certification by building on their VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification. Each expert has taken the extra steps of achieving both the VMware Certified Advanced Professional on Datacenter Administration (VCAP-DCA) and the VMware Certified Advanced Professional on Datacenter Design (VCAP-DCD), or their VI3 analogues, as well as successfully defending a VMware infrastructure design and implementation plan.

Wade is a Solutions Architect at VMware, specializing in Cloud Management and Security. Chris Kranz started life as a new media developer in the late ’90s before moving onto web development and then systems administration. Finally he found himself settling in as a storage and virtualisation consultant in 2005. Chris worked on the first ESX deployment with ESX 2.5 and got his VCP shortly afterwards. He has maintained this through VCP3 and 4 and later expanded this to VCAP, VTSP and even VSP. Chris keeps a strong emphasis on storage architect holding both NetApp NCDA and NCIE.
