Overview:
The Free VMware Certified Associate course on Workforce Mobility Fundamentals will provide you with a fundamental understanding of VMware's Workforce Mobility products, including the business challenges those products are intended to solve.

There are three modules in this course. We'll start by introducing the concepts of End User Computing, introduce some examples to show what common IT challenges are faced by organizations in supporting EUC services and show how VMware's products can help address these challenges.

In Module 2, we take a journey through the VMware Workforce Mobility product line, showing the various products and features and how they can help resolve business and technical challenges.

Finally, in Module 3 we wrap things up by helping you to relate the products and features to the challenges they are intended to resolve.

Objectives:    At the end of this course, you should be able to:

•  Define and describe the need for a structured IT approach to End User Computing.
•  Provide an overview of the features of VMware Workforce Mobility products.
•  Recognize how VMware’s products help resolve business and technical challenges with regard to End User Computing.
 
Outline:    Module 1 is an Introduction to End User Computing.
In this module we will define what End User Computing (EUC) means, provide examples of business and technical challenges, and finally provide an overview of the VMware Workforce Mobility product line.  

At the end of this module, you should be able to:
•  Define and describe the need for a structured IT approach to End User Computing.
•  Provide real world examples of EUC challenges.
•  List the VMware products that can help resolve those challenges.

This is Module 2, Components of VMware Horizon View. In this module we will explain what vSphere Horizon View is, and how its components support Data Center Virtualization. You'll learn about Virtual Desktops, View Administrator, the View Connection Server, Full and Linked Clones, Dedicated and Floating Pools, ThinApp, Virtual Printing, and Thin and Zero Clients. We will also review ESXi, vCenter and the vCenter features that support the virtual desktop infrastructure.

At the end of this module, you should be able to:

•  Discuss the features of VMware Horizon View.
•  Provide an overview of the challenges that Horizon View is intended to resolve.

This is module 3, applying what you have learned.
In this module you will apply what you have learned about Workforce Mobility to overcome Application, Accessibility, Security, and Management challenges that affect the businesses we met in Module 1.

At the end of this module, you will be able to:

•  Recognize how VMware’s products help overcome business and technical challenges with regard to End User Computing.
